MY STORY

A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You

My name is Dr. Andreka Peat and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and registered yoga teacher who specializes in Women’s Mental Health. I myself am a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, a business owner, etc. so I know all too well how challenging this journey can be. At Women’s Wellness Atlanta, it is my mission to serve other women, letting them know that they are not alone and try to provide them with “a breathing space.” My practice focuses on maternal mental health (post-partum mood and anxiety disorders), fertility challenges, grief and loss, and relationship concerns. It is my hope to reduce the stigma related to the common things women struggle with every day. You are not alone and with help you can get better!

I have over 10 years of clinical experience ranging from private practice settings to college and university counseling centers. I received my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta Georgia. My Doctoral Internship was completed at the Dallas Consortium in Professional Psychology in Dallas, TX. Prior to engaging in my doctoral studies I received my Masters of Public Health Degree with a Maternal and Child Health concentration from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. My undergraduate studies were completed at Xavier University of LA also in New Orleans, LA. I currently live in the Atlanta area with my husband, two children and our family dog. I enjoy reading, watching movies, participating in church activities, practicing and teaching yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
